Position Overview
We're looking for an experienced Senior Hardwood Flooring Project Manager to help lead our growing company.
This position is ideal for someone who is an exceptional hardwood flooring craftsman and an experienced project leader. You will oversee multiple projects, coordinate crews, communicate with homeowners and contractors, maintain quality standards, solve jobsite challenges, and keep projects moving efficiently from start to finish.
Our goal is to find someone who can become Jesse's right hand—someone we can trust to take ownership of projects, lead crews with confidence, and help us continue delivering exceptional work.
This is not a subcontractor position. We are looking for a long-term team member.
Responsibilities Project Management
- Oversee multiple hardwood flooring projects simultaneously Coordinate crew schedules and daily workflow
- Review project scope before work begins
- Ensure materials and jobsites are ready
- Communicate with homeowners, builders, and contractors Solve jobsite issues and make informed decisions
- Monitor project schedules and keep work on track
- Perform final walkthroughs and quality control
Leadership
- Lead and mentor crew members
- Train and develop installers
- Hold crews accountable to Focus Hardwood's standards Maintain a positive, professional culture
Craftsmanship
- Install, sand, stain, and finish hardwood flooring when needed
- Assist crews with technical challenges
- Perform specialty installations and repairs
- Ensure every project meets Focus Hardwood's quality expectations
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of hardwood flooring experience
- Proven experience independently managing hardwood flooring projects from start to finish. Previous experience leading crews.
- Strong knowledge of installation, sanding, staining, and finish systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Professional, dependable, and self-motivated
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Must own the necessary flooring tools
Compensation & Benefits
- $35.00–$45.00 per hour DOE
- Compensation is based on experience, demonstrated leadership ability, and overall qualifications.
