Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair.
- Handle food preparation and food handling tasks, ensuring all items meet safety and quality standards.
- Operate POS system "TOAST" to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests warmly, taking orders, and addressing inquiries promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations and seating areas.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cashiering duties and basic retail math calculations.
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe environment for both customers and staff.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in the food service industry, with strong coffee knowledge preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems like TOAST for smooth transaction processing.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service.
- Strong sales skills to promote menu items and upsell when appropriate.
- Exceptional customer service abilities to create welcoming interactions that enhance guest satisfaction.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation techniques, and proper food handling procedures.
