As a primary representative of Outrageous Interiors + Design, our Furniture Sales & Design Consultants work closely with clients in-store and in-home to help the client achieve the #OutrageouslyChic design experience.
The ideal candidate will have excellent creative thinking skills, communication skills, and be able to create designs based on conversations with a client. The candidate should be very consultative and creative, partnering with clients to define the scope of their project, the investment required, and the project timeline. The Furniture Sales & Design Consultant will select furnishings and decor, procure, and execute design projects from start to finish.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consult with clients to understand their vision and goals for their home and align on the project scope, investment required and timeline
- Integrate findings with knowledge of interior design and formulate a customized floor plan that is practical, esthetic, and conducive to intended purposes including customer preferences and needs
- Effectively articulate design vision and concepts to key project contacts and deliver interior design selections for customer approval with confident presentation skills
- Communicate effectively with client, vendors and team in order to address client's needs
- Walk the sales floor regularly, work with the store leadership and store associates on a weekly basis in order to maintain the visual presentation and integrity of the store
- Greet and assist customers in the store
Our full-time Interior Designers can participate in our comprehensive benefits package, including medical, 13 days of paid vacation, paid holidays, a matching 401(k), and more.
- Hours: Standard full-time week (40 hours per week) in-store from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
- Days: This Design Consultant must work at least two Saturdays per month, or ideally Tuesday - Saturday, as our stores operate Monday through Saturday
Job Type: Full-time
Base Pay: $49,000.00 - $50,500.00 per year
