Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Handle chemical agents safely by following OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines and proper handling procedures
- Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain pristine surfaces
- Execute sanitation protocols in accordance with healthcare infection prevention and control standards to reduce the risk of cross-contamination
- Utilize manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or large cleaning equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices
- Maintain cleanliness of all designated areas through janitorial tasks like waste disposal, restocking supplies, and surface cleaning
- Document completed tasks accurately in logs or reports and communicate any maintenance or safety concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Prior experience in environmental services, custodial work, or commercial cleaning is highly preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to chemical handling, safety procedures, and infection control practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently using proper manual handling techniques
- Familiarity with hospital or healthcare environment standards for sanitation and infection prevention is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by following all safety protocols and procedures
- High School Diploma or GED

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
