We are currently looking for skilled Senior Quality Control Inspectors to contribute to our precision manufacturing operations in Lake County, specifically serving the aerospace sector. Your daily focus will center on hands-on inspection and dimensional verification tasks. We are seeking professionals who possess a solid background in interpreting blueprints and GD&T, proficiency with precision measurement tools, and a deep understanding of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards.

Compensation: $27–$33/hour, based on experience

Key Duties

Conduct thorough first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure high-quality precision components.

Evaluate parts to confirm they meet all engineering blueprints, specifications, and client expectations.

Utilize CMM, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, pin gauges, bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment to perform accurate dimensional checks.

Analyze and apply GD&T and engineering drawings to verify part integrity.

Confirm that surface conditions, tolerances, and overall product dimensions align with established standards.

Maintain precise quality documentation and inspection records to ensure full compliance.

Help streamline the First Article Inspection (FAI) / AS9102 documentation process.

Detect and report any nonconforming materials to prevent quality escapes.

Uphold strict traceability and record-keeping protocols as defined by our quality procedures.

Help maintain a high standard of compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements across all inspection tasks.

Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to resolve quality discrepancies and improve manufacturing outcomes.

Manage the calibration and maintenance of essential inspection tools.

Contribute to internal audits and ongoing process improvement initiatives.
Essential Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality inspection within a precision manufacturing setting.

Background in aerospace manufacturing is highly desirable.

Proven ability to operate within AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management frameworks.

Advanced proficiency in reading blueprints and applying GD&T principles.

Expertise in using advanced precision measurement tools for dimensional analysis.

Experience preparing FAI/AS9102 documentation is preferred.

Demonstrate a high level of precision and the ability to manage tasks independently.

Strong capabilities in technical documentation and professional communication.
