Position Overview
Customer Service & Food Service Team Members support daily store operations by delivering fast, friendly service on the sales floor and executing food service standards within DASH. This role is responsible for customer interactions, transaction processing, food preparation, cleanliness, and safety—ensuring every guest experiences why It’s Nicer Here.
Essential Job Functions
Customer Service & Store Operations
- Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service
- Answer customer questions and resolve basic concerns
- Accurately scan and process customer transactions
- Follow all cash handling and credit card procedures
- Stock merchandise and service products
- Perform housekeeping and cleaning tasks inside and outside the store
- Understand and follow all safety and emergency procedures
Food Service (DASH) Operations
- Greet guests and take food and beverage orders
- Prepare ingredients and assemble menu items
- Cook menu items using approved equipment (ovens, toasters, etc.)
- Count, weigh, and portion product accurately
- Read and execute orders from kitchen monitors
- Complete all required food safety and temperature logs
- Clean and maintain equipment, cookware, utensils, coolers, storage, kitchen, and prep areas
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation standards
Education & Experience
- Entry-level position; no prior experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Basic Qualifications & Physical Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Reliable transportation
- Friendly, customer-focused attitude
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and carry short distances
- Ability to stand and walk for 8+ consecutive hours
- Ability to climb a step stool, reach overhead, grasp, bend, and crouch
- Ability to use touch-screen monitors, kiosks, tablets, and kitchen ordering systems
- Ability to accurately count U.S. currency and make change
- Ability to work in cold temperatures for short periods (coolers/freezers)
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork mindset and commitment to customer service
