Job Summary
The PMHNP will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, follow‑up care, and collaborative treatment planning for children, adolescents, and adults. This role requires fluency in Spanish and English to support our growing Spanish‑speaking patient population and ensure equitable access to care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
- Provide medication management, treatment planning, and ongoing follow‑up care
- Deliver services in both Spanish and English, ensuring clear communication and culturally competent care
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation within the EHR
- Collaborate with supervising physician, therapists, and care team members
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment options
- Participate in case consultations, care coordination, and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, ethical, and HIPAA standards
- Offer telehealth services when appropriate and clinically indicated
Skills
- Bilingual Clinical Communication (Spanish/English) Able to conduct full psychiatric evaluations, medication management visits, and follow‑up appointments fluently in both languages. Skilled in culturally responsive communication with Spanish‑speaking patients and families.
- Psychiatric Assessment & Diagnosis Proficient in DSM‑5 diagnostic criteria, differential diagnosis, risk assessment, and development of evidence‑based treatment plans.
- Psychopharmacology Expertise Strong command of medication selection, titration, side‑effect monitoring, and patient education across child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
- Trauma‑Informed Care Applies trauma‑sensitive approaches to evaluation, treatment planning, and patient interaction.
- Crisis Intervention & Stabilization Skilled in managing acute psychiatric symptoms, safety planning, and coordinating higher levels of care when needed.
- Culturally Competent Care Delivery Demonstrates sensitivity to cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic factors influencing mental health, especially within Spanish‑speaking communities.
- Telehealth Proficiency Comfortable delivering virtual psychiatric services using secure telemedicine platforms.
- Collaborative Care & Team Communication Works effectively with supervising physicians, therapists, case managers, and administrative staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Clinical Documentation & EHR Accuracy Maintains compliant, timely, and detailed documentation aligned with HIPAA, insurance, and outpatient behavioral health standards.
- ICD‑10 Coding & Billing Familiarity Knowledgeable in coding requirements for psychiatric diagnoses and insurance‑based outpatient billing workflows.
Pay: From $95,000.00 per year
