Job Summary:
As a Construction Manager I, II, III, you will ultimately be responsible for overseeing field construction operations, managing construction crews, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. You will coordinate project execution, supervise field personnel, and deliver high-quality telecommunications infrastructure projects. As a Construction Manager, your customers are telecommunications providers, project stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal Congruex teams, and you will make meaningful contributions to the company's success through operational leadership, quality execution, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
- Manage and supervise construction crews, Foremen, subcontractors, and daily field operations to ensure safe, efficient, and quality project execution.
- Coordinate project schedules, staffing, materials, customer communication, production reporting, As-Builts, closeout documentation, and budget performance.
- Lead employee development through coaching, performance management, hiring, training, and enforcement of company policies and safety standards.
- Monitor project progress, approve invoices and production reports, resolve field issues, and maintain compliance with customer requirements and applicable regulations.
- Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs.
Required Qualifications:
Education, Licensing, and Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Experience
- Experience managing telecommunications or utility construction projects and field construction crews.
- Experience with aerial and underground telecommunications construction and project coordination.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction-related software for scheduling, reporting, budgeting, and project management.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- CPR/First Aid Certification and experience with telecommunications infrastructure construction.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, squat, climb, push, pull, and perform physically demanding activities for extended periods.
- Work performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions around active construction sites and heavy equipment.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review.

Leveling:
The Construction Manager I, II, or III designation is based on the individual's experience, technical expertise, project complexity, and span of responsibility, including the size and number of projects managed and the scope of team leadership.
