We are currently seeking an experienced, service-driven Director of Dining Services to join our team at The Blake at St. Johns. This role is ideal for a culinary and hospitality professional who is passionate about exceptional dining experiences, strong team leadership, and delivering consistent quality for the residents we serve.

Primary Responsibilities of the Director of Dining Services
- Provide leadership, structure, and organization for all dining operations
- Ensure efficient daily dietary department operations, including:
- Menu implementation
- Staff scheduling
- Ordering supplies
- Delivering a world-class dining experience for residents
- Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in both food quality and service quality
- Maintain a dining and kitchen environment that supports teamwork, safety, cleanliness, and proper hygiene
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory agencies and state requirements
- Cook and prepare meals as needed to support kitchen operations
- Support continuous improvement and maintain consistent hospitality standards across all dining experiences
Requirements
Education, Experience & Certification
- A caring heart and genuine willingness to serve others
- Minimum of 2 years of related culinary experience in a lead cook role or higher
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of staff management experience in hospitality, restaurant management, or long-term care (preferred)
- ServSafe Certification required; Food Manager Certification preferred
- Creativity and self-motivation in culinary planning and execution
- Experience working with regulatory agencies and understanding state dining requirements
- POS system knowledge preferred
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including holidays and weekends
