We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and patient-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our Pharmacists to deliver excellent patient care, assist with prescription processing, manage inventory, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Prescription Processing: Accurately input patient data, insurance details, and prescription information into the pharmacy management system.
- Non-Sterile Compounding: Accurately prepare custom non-sterile formulations (e.g., creams, ointments, oral liquids, suspensions, and capsules) according to specific master formulation records and quality assurance standards under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
- Compounding Lab Maintenance: Properly clean, calibrate, and maintain compounding equipment, weigh balances, and mortar/pestles while maintaining immaculate sanitation and safety standards in the compounding area.
- Dispensing Support: Count, measure, package, and label commercial medications efficiently and precisely.
- Patient & Customer Care: Greet customers warmly, assist at the register, handle phone inquiries, and provide outstanding front-counter service.
- Insurance & Billing: Process insurance claims, resolve third-party rejections, and handle copay collections.
- Inventory Control: Receive, unpack, and stock incoming commercial products and active raw chemicals/ingredients; check for expiring products; and assist with routine inventory audits.
- Operational Compliance: Adhere strictly to state board regulations, USP guidelines (such as USP <795>), federal laws, and HIPAA privacy rules.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certification/License: Active State Pharmacy Technician License
- Experience: 1+ years of retail, community, or independent pharmacy experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate).
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy software.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work calmly under pressure.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours).
- Capability to lift, bend, reach, and carry inventory boxes up to 25–30 lbs.
