Snider-Blake is looking for skilled Surface Mounted Technology (SMT) Operators for our client in the Solon, OH area. The SMT Operator is responsible for reading and understanding documentation, drawings, bills of material and processes and then translating this information into the product alongside using computers and computer systems to program, set up functions, enter data, and/or process information.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setting up SMT production equipment and machinery.
- Reading and understanding the different characteristics of solder paste.
- Understanding polarity/orientation, package size and values of SMT components.
- Using precision measuring tools or equipment such as calipers/micrometers, etc.
- Loading or unloading materials into the SMT equipment.
- Establish temperature profiles, program, monitor, and operate re-flow soldering equipment.
- Positioning, aligning, and adjusting PCB and component parts to facilitate assembly.
- Conducting trial runs before soldering and make necessary adjustments.
- Correcting problems by adjusting controls or stopping machines.
- Monitoring all aspects of machine and machine processes during the assembly process.
- Observing and listening to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine the need for adjustments or repairs.
- Examining products or work to verify conformance to specifications including set-up, first articles and during the production process.
- Marking and tagging components so that stock inventory can be tracked and identified.
- Maintaining production or work records.
- Attaching or marking identification onto products and/or containers.
- Cleaning and maintaining work area and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Skills:
- Mathematic skills
- Communication skills
- Experience working within an ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 environment
- Basic Computer skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- 3-9 yrs of experience with SMT equipment operations
- Previous experience working in an electronic manufacturing environment,
Details:
- Pay: $18-$23/hr depending on experience
