Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team! As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications. Your expertise in retail pharmacy, acute care, and/or hospital pharmacy will be instrumental in supporting our healthcare team.
Duties:
- Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Perform medication inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and restocking medications
- Provide excellent customer service to patients by addressing their inquiries and concerns
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate medication therapy management
- Maintain patient profiles and medication records accurately and confidentially
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and procedures
- Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems for prescription processing
- Familiarity with aseptic technique for sterile compounding
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
- Effective communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of medication safety protocols and adherence to regulatory guidelines
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program
- Active Pharmacy Technician license/certification (state-specific)
- National Certification is a requirement.
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician is a plus but not necessary!
