Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide for our Weekend Warrior program to join our healthcare team here at The Healthcare Resort of Kansas City. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a nursing home or assisted living environment. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and accurate administration of medications to residents while maintaining their dignity and comfort.
Duties
- Administer medications to residents as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each resident, documenting medication administration and any changes in condition.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to monitor residents' health status and report any concerns or changes promptly.
- Assist residents with daily living activities, promoting independence while providing necessary support.
- Ensure that all medication systems are organized and compliant with facility policies.
- Provide education and support to residents regarding their medications and health needs.
- Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety within the assisted living or nursing home environment.
- Weekends only double- Morning to evening shift
Experience
- Previous experience in a nursing home or assisted living setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medication administration practices is essential.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems such as Epic is advantageous.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team are required.
