Summary
Under the direct supervision of the General Manager, this position will operate and direct the food and beverage department for the entire Club in a profitable manner to ensure quality food and beverage experiences. This position must have knowledge of food and beverage operations specifically in financial controls, staff management, and facilities management. The director of food and beverage needs to provide a high level of customer service with attention to details and have the ability to plan and coordinate events that provide quality experiences. This person will need to have an understanding of safe food handling procedures and process as well as responsible alcohol service. Advanced computer processing knowledge is required, as well as strong communication skills, culture first mentality, outgoing personality focusing on team, and positive attitude.
Essential Functions
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Manage the food and beverage department budget. Ensure proper record keeping and reporting is completed on the food and beverage operations.
2. Maintain food and bar inventory and oversee ordering.
3. Oversee and manage event planning for the Club, works with members to secure agreements and coordinates activities associated with non-golf events.
4. Oversee the hiring, training and management of food and beverage department staff. Manage and schedule staff to ensure proper coverage for daily operations and events.
5. Develop and implement standards and procedures associated with the Food and Beverage Department.
6. Oversee and manage the maintenance and upkeep of food and beverage facilities and equipment.
7. Organize and plan to ensure quality food and beverage experiences.
8. Supervise all food and beverage staff, including but not limited to, event coordinator, pub manager and kitchen manager, as well as all kitchen, wait, event, pool FB operations, bar and on course services FB staff.
9. Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment, as well as food and beverage facilities in a private club setting. This role routinely uses equipment such as point of sale systems, computers, phones, photocopiers, laptops, and other digital systems.
Physical Demands
It will be necessary to stand or walk for a minimum of 4 hours during a working shift and be able to lift at a minimum of 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time and year-round position. Days and hours of work will depend on club and event needs and can vary from week to week. Evenings, weekends, and some holidays expected.

· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
· Two years of related experience
· Three+ years of related experience
