Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Tri-Axle Dump Truck Driver to join our Christian excavation company. In this role, you will operate a tri-axle dump truck to transport and deliver materials efficiently across various local excavation sites. Your expertise in tri-axle dump truck operation, mechanical knowledge, and safe driving practices will ensure smooth project progress and uphold safety standards. Responsibilities
- Operate a tri-axle dump truck safely and efficiently to haul materials such as gravel, dirt, and other construction aggregates.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the dump truck, ensuring all mechanical systems are functioning properly before each shift.
- Load and unload materials at construction sites, coordinating with site managers and other heavy equipment operators like excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dozers, and horizontal drilling machinery.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance reports.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations to prevent accidents or injuries on-site or on the road.
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks on the truck when necessary and report any mechanical issues promptly to our 2 full time mechanics.
- Collaborate with team members including heavy equipment operators and construction supervisors to ensure timely completion of deliveries of the materials or equipment you are hauling.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating tri-axle dump trucks in a construction environment.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and tankers.
- Hands-on experience with construction site operations and familiarity with excavation equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and transportation.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on trucks and associated machinery.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
