Pay Range: $47.00–$53.00 per hour (DOE)

We're looking for a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN (as-needed) basis.

Working under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will:

Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments according to established care plans.

Document treatments accurately and timely while meeting all facility, regulatory, and payer requirements.

Help residents improve independence with activities of daily living (ADLs).

Educate residents and families on home exercise programs, safety techniques, adaptive equipment, and fall prevention.

Recommend appropriate adaptive equipment and durable medical equipment to maximize resident independence.

Participate in care plan meetings, rehabilitation conferences, and interdisciplinary team collaboration.

Communicate resident progress with therapists, nursing staff, physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals.

Assist with training Restorative Nursing Aides and provide in-service education for facility staff.

Maintain a safe treatment environment through proper infection control and equipment maintenance.

Support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.

Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of resident care.

Associate Degree from an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) program

Current California COTA license in good standing

CPR Certification (if required by licensure)

Ability to meet continuing education requirements

Experience with electronic medical records preferred (Net Health and PointClickCare)

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Passion for helping residents achieve their highest level of independence
This position requires frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, bending, kneeling, lifting, pushing, pulling, and assisting residents with mobility and transfers. Candidates must be able to safely perform the physical demands of resident care while following safe patient handling practices.
