Position: Driller
Summary: Savage Excavation LLC is looking for a driller for a crew based out of the Midlothian TX location. The driller position is critical in the daily operation of drilling for geotechnical borings, environmental wells, and rock core sampling. Will be responsible for mobilizing the rig to sites, setting up and operating drill rigs and related equipment to drill holes for geotechnical and environmental exploration.
Requirements:
- Experienced in soil sampling, HS & Solid stem augur, Air Rotary, and conventional wireline rock coring. Other geotechnical instrumentation preferred
- Knowledge of environmental sampling and setting wells
- Experienced in operating small equipment such as skid steer and backhoe
- Knowledge of soil & rock classifications (boring logs)
- Knowledge of CME, Geo Probe, Diedrich and Terra Sonic equipment preferred.
- Maintain daily logs and JSA reports
- Cleanliness of equipment
- Knowledge of drill maintenance
- Must be able to work 8-12 hours a day.
- Must have transportation to and from the shop
- Will be required to work weekends/ travel when needed
- Class B CDL required
- Proof of Clean Driving Record
- Must pass drug test

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 55 – 65 per week
