The Wirt County Board of Education announces the following vacancy:
DATE: May 22, 2026
POSITION: Bus Operator
Works AM and PM shift, hours dictated by route
Effective the beginning of the 2026-2027 School Year
QUALIFICATIONS:

Complete and pass WV Service Personnel Test as required for this Bus Operator Position

Hold certification as a bus operator as required by WV Transportation Regulations

Possess the knowledge, skills and ability to successfully carry out responsibilities of the position
Duties and Responsibilities:
-
All duties and responsibilities of the bus operator job description of Wirt County Schools.

Basic knowledge and experience in operation procedures

Maintains and/or upgrades skills

Performs duties efficiently and productively

Must be available for Emergency School Closings

Other duties as assigned by the transportation director.
SUPERVISOR: Director of Support Services & Superintendent
SALARY: Based on Wirt County Salary Scale and job classification and years of service.
