Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Plumber to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems across various construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that water and waste systems operate efficiently and meet all safety and building standards. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial and industrial buildings according to blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and plumbing inspection cameras to perform precise work on water systems, drainage, and fixtures.
- Interpret technical schematics and blueprints to accurately assemble plumbing components and ensure compliance with local building codes.
- Conduct plumbing inspections using specialized cameras and tools to diagnose issues and verify system integrity.
- Perform heavy lifting of pipes and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites.
- Collaborate with carpenters, HVAC technicians, and other tradespeople during remodeling or new construction projects.
- Maintain plumbing systems through routine inspections, repairs, and upgrades to ensure optimal operation over time.
Skills
- Construction experience with a strong background in construction plumbing and site work.
- Proficiency in welding, pipe threading, and assembly of plumbing components.
- Knowledge of local building codes, schematics, and blueprint reading for accurate installations.
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of water systems, HVAC integration, and plumbing system maintenance.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, plumbing inspection cameras, schematics, and other relevant equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately while performing remodeling or new installation tasks.
- Experience with construction site safety practices including heavy lifting and working at heights or confined spaces.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe sizing and system design.
- Familiarity with carpentry principles as they relate to framing openings for plumbing fixtures or remodeling projects.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for transporting materials or equipment when necessary.
