Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and passionate BBQ Pitmaster to lead our pit operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with smoking meats, maintaining BBQ pits, and creating mouthwatering dishes that keep customers coming back.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook all BBQ menu items, ensuring high standards of quality and consistency.
- Operate and maintain smokers, pits, and grilling equipment.
- Monitor and manage cooking times, temperatures, and wood selection for optimal flavor.
- Ensure all food preparation and storage complies with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to create specials and refine recipes.
- Manage inventory for meats, seasonings, and supplies, minimizing waste.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in BBQ techniques and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Pitmaster or BBQ chef.
- Deep knowledge of smoking techniques, cuts of meat, and flavor profiles.
- Ability to manage time and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physical stamina to work in a hot environment and handle heavy equipment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Passion for BBQ and customer satisfaction.
