Position Overview
Trinity Classical Christian School is seeking a dedicated Middle School and High School Math and Science Teacher to join our classical Christian school community. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of mathematics through advanced math and calculus, as well as middle and high school science, a love for teaching students in a classical framework, and a commitment to integrating faith, reason, and excellence in the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Teach middle school and high school mathematics, including courses up through advanced math and calculus, and biblical finance
- Teach middle and high school science courses as assigned (e.g., general science, biology, physical science, chemistry, or physics, depending on qualifications)
- Assess student learning and provide timely feedback to students and parents
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding grades and student progress
- Communicate effectively with the Head of School regarding student academic and behavioral concerns
- Create and conduct labs for science cores
- Uphold the school’s mission, values, and Statement of Faith as detailed in the Family and Faculty Handbooks
Qualifications
- Must be a professing Christian and growing in Christ-likeness
- Teach from a biblical Christian worldview
- Must faithfully attend a local church aligned with the Apostles’ Creed
- Must agree to “above reproach” conduct and professionalism standards
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Strong content knowledge in mathematics through calculus
- Competency to teach middle and high school science
- Experience teaching middle school and/or high school students
- Familiarity with Saxon Math curriculum (preferred but not required)
- Must maintain confidentiality regarding student, family, and school information
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, science, education, or a related field (preferred but not required)
- Prior teaching experience in a classical, Christian, or traditional academic setting (preferred but not required)
Contract Term, Compensation, and Benefits
- Contract Term: Full academic year (renewable annually)
- Compensation: Determined by qualifications and experience
- Benefits include: Standard school holidays (including Christmas break and Easter Monday)
