Position Overview:
The Driller bores exploratory vertical holes into the earth to evaluate soil type and strength characteristics.
Responsibilities:

Act as crew chief for a drilling crew, directing and performing drilling services and well installations.

Oversee the operation of testing and drilling equipment and ensure that all equipment, including jackhammers, rigs, drill, pressure washers, etc.) are maintained, functioning properly, cleaned, and always calibrated.

Collect and conduct testing of soil, concrete, and other construction materials to project specifications.

Complete and submit timely paperwork, reports, and presentations.

Communicate with dispatch, field supervisors, and other stakeholders for status reports, issues, etc.

Maintain an assigned company vehicle (schedule oil changes, check fluid levels, inside/outside upkeep).

Report to job sites on time, follow all safety protocols, and enter work time daily

Qualifications:

High school diploma with 5+ years of related experience (or similar combination).
- Valid driver’s license, with acceptable driving record.

Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Field Data Collection (FDC) software.
- Strong time management, mathematical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team with a focus on producing high-quality work.

Ability to read, write, and interpret blueprints, procedures, manuals, technical documents, and reports.
- OSHA 40HR HAZWOPER, CDL, or Licensed Water Well Contractor certifications a plus.

This position primarily works in an outdoor work environment, regularly exposed to varying field conditions, including:
Travel Requirements:
- This position requires extensive travel, approximately up to 70% of the time, in support of business objectives and client engagements. Travel may be both scheduled and on short notice, depending on project needs. Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may be conducted in outdoor or operational environments. Adherence to all company safety protocols and use of PPE is required during travel and on-site work.
