Department: IT Technology Services - PMO
Reports To: Director, Project Management Office
FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary Range: $102,000 – $118,000 annually
The Project Manager performs administrative work involving considerable responsibility, complexity, and variety, managing and coordinating activities of designated projects. This individual handles multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and supports administrative and coordination needs of the unit.
Provides limited supervision for one or more functions within a department, including planning, assigning, directing, and coordinating work. May perform staff evaluations and provide input on performance and compensation.
Works with internal stakeholders including executives, administrators, faculty, students, and staff. Engages with external partners such as consultants and representatives from other institutions.
- Plan, develop, administer, and coordinate program goals and objectives
- Implement approved policies and procedures
- Conduct research, analysis, and program coordination activities
- Monitor program performance and recommend improvements
- Develop and manage project work plans and timelines
- Coordinate activities through delegation to staff
- Prepare funding proposals and supporting documentation
- Generate reports on program status, progress, and financials
- Provide guidance and problem-solving support to stakeholders
- Evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements
- Develop and lead workshops, meetings, and conferences
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5–7 years of relevant experience
- 12 years of related experience may substitute for degree
