We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Mental Health Professional to join our dynamic behavioral health team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to accurately identify mental health conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Deliver individual and group counseling sessions focused on mental health counseling, grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and gender issues counseling.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during acute episodes or emergencies.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, medical documentation, and medical records maintenance while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Engage in telehealth services utilizing telehealth experience tools to extend access to care across various settings.
- Support patients with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder through specialized behavioral therapy and working with individuals with disabilities or in special education environments.
Skills
- Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy approaches.
- Strong experience in crisis intervention, crisis management, and behavior management strategies.
- Skilled in working with children, adolescents, geriatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation; familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Ability to conduct intake assessments efficiently while maintaining detailed medical documentation and records compliant with HIPAA standards.
- Experience in hospital or outpatient clinic settings with a focus on behavioral health or mental health counseling.
- Excellent communication skills for patient care discussions, research activities, group therapy facilitation, and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
