Position Summary
The Marketing & Recruiting Specialist runs four engines for the company: the hiring funnel (sourcing, screening, and scheduling candidates for field and office positions), the content engine (video and photo capture at local job sites, testimonial collection, editing, and publishing), the brand operations function (Google Business Profiles, graphics, reviews, signage, agency coordination), and the prospect-list funnel that feeds our sales team. This is a systems-and-consistency role with a creative edge: the right person loves checklists and publishing calendars, follows up relentlessly, is comfortable on job sites and job fairs, and produces clean, professional graphics, video, and skilled with AI.
Key Responsibilities
1. Internal Recruiting
- Write and post job ads (Indeed, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, trade boards) for field and office openings across all brands; attend local job fairs and hiring events
- Screen resumes and conduct structured phone screens using the company screen rubric; score and log every candidate same-day; handle walk-in applicants
- Schedule qualified candidates with hiring managers within 48 hours; run reference checks as directed; coordinate day-one onboarding logistics with the office
- Maintain the candidate pipeline in the CRM/ATS — every candidate dispositioned; declines closed out courteously within 3 business days; track time-to-fill and source-of-hire
2. Video & Content Creation
- Visit local job sites (ground level only — no roof access) to capture photo and video content: crews working, before/after transformations, equipment, finished projects
- Capture client testimonials on video at final walkthroughs, coordinated with the estimators — short, authentic clips with a signed media release on file for every one published
- Respond to all social media messages / inquiries
- Edit and publish short-form vertical video (Reels, Shorts, TikTok, GBP) — minimum 2 published videos per week; maintain the monthly content calendar
- Enforce the job-site capture SOP with crews for sites you can't visit; curate, edit, and publish their photos to the right brand
- Build the testimonial and completed-project library (video, quotes, photos) organized so estimators can drop proof into any proposal
3. Graphics & Brand Operations
- Graphics: produce on-brand creative in Canva/Adobe — social posts, job-ad creative, flyers, yard sign and vehicle art requests, case study layouts, proposal covers — using each brand's colors, logos, and templates
- Google Business Profiles: own posting (2–3 posts/week per profile), photo uploads, Q&A;, and profile upkeep for NorCal Roofing, PeakShield Roofing, and Perfection Electric. SlimMed Wellness: publish only pre-approved content from the clinic's approved queue; approved response templates only; never reference anyone as a patient
- Reviews: track the review pipeline, post public responses using approved templates, flag negative reviews to ownership same-day, report weekly review velocity
- Signage: track yard sign inventory, ordering, placement and retrieval compliance by job; deliver signs to crews as needed
- Agency & brand files: day-to-day liaison with the marketing agency (art requests, deliverable tracking — approvals stay with ownership); keep brand asset libraries organized
