About Us
BALANCE is a premier eating disorder treatment center offering PHP and IOP services in the
heart of New York City.. We are looking for a psychiatric NP, junior MD, recent medical
graduate, 4th-year resident, or moonlighter who is interested in flexible clinical work and the
opportunity to collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary team.
This is a strong fit for someone who wants hands-on experience in outpatient psychiatry, eating
disorder treatment, PHP/IOP programming, and eventually building their own patient panel or
private practice.
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable psychiatric provider who can provide clinical support, psychiatric
coverage, and collaboration with our treatment team. The schedule is highly flexible, and we are
open to someone available anywhere from one day per week to multiple days per week.
The ideal candidate is dependable, clinically thoughtful, and interested in growing with us.
Reliability is very important, as our program depends on consistent psychiatric coverage and
collaboration.
Responsibilities May Include
● Psychiatric evaluations and follow-up appointments
● Medication management support
● Collaboration with therapists, dietitians, and program leadership
● Participation in treatment planning and clinical coordination
● Documentation in accordance with program and payer requirements
● Supporting PHP/IOP clients as clinically appropriate
Who We’re Looking For
● Psychiatric NP, MD, junior physician, recent medical graduate, 4th-year resident, or
moonlighter
● Interest in outpatient psychiatry, eating disorders, PHP/IOP, or private practice
development
● Strong communication and documentation skills
● Reliable, professional, and able to commit to agreed-upon coverage
● Comfortable collaborating with a multidisciplinary clinical team

Requirements
● Active or eligible clinical licensure/certification as applicable
● Psychiatric experience or strong interest in psychiatry required
● PHP/IOP, eating disorder, or outpatient mental health experience preferred but not
required
● Must be dependable and able to maintain agreed-upon schedule commitments

Compensation is competitive and based on experience, licensure, role, and availability.
