Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for infants 6 weeks- 12 months old , supporting their developmental milestones through engaging activities and attentive caregiving. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development, classroom management, and effective communication with both children and parents. The Infant Teacher will play a vital role in fostering a positive learning experience that promotes growth, curiosity, and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans tailored to infants’ developmental stages
- Provide attentive care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting infants as needed
- Monitor and document each child's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Engage children in sensory activities, playtime, and early learning exercises to promote cognitive and motor skills
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and any concerns
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in caregiving approaches and classroom management
- Follow all licensing requirements and safety protocols related to infant care
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants and toddlers
- Strong classroom management skills to create a structured yet flexible environment
- Ability to provide caregiving tasks such as feeding, diapering, and comforting with patience and sensitivity
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for infants
- Certification in First Aid and CPR preferred; ongoing training in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, caregivers, and team members
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a caring attitude
- Experience with classroom experience or nannying/babysitting roles involving infant care is highly valued
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
