Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Monitor patient observation to identify changes in condition or behavior promptly
- Administer medication and perform basic medical tasks such as vital signs measurement and catheter care under supervision
- Support clients with meal preparation, feeding, light housekeeping, laundry, and cleaning to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Document patient information accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while maintaining strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Use proper patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts to ensure safe mobility assistance
- Provide companionship and emotional support, especially for clients with dementia or experiencing end-of-life care needs
Qualifications
- Prior assisted living or long-term care experience preferred, including working with geriatric patients or individuals with developmental disabilities or Alzheimer's/dementia care needs
- Knowledge of medical terminology, home healthcare regulations, and medical documentation practices
- Demonstrated understanding of patient confidentiality protocols under HIPAA standards
- Previous home health agency experience is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Flexibility to work part-time hours with immediate availability for start
