Job Overview
Northwest Sweeping is hiring a mechanic shop assistant/sweeper (entry level). We perform the majority of the maintenance on all of our trucks and street sweepers. The primary responsibilities will be to assist the primary mechanic as follows:
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance: Performing oil changes, fluid checks, change tires
- Tool Prep: Organizing and cleaning tools, equipment, and work bays.
- Assistance: Helping mechanics with complex repairs, such as lifting heavy parts or holding tools.
- Operations: Ordering parts, logging maintenance data
- Operate parking lot sweepers as needed during the day
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
-Excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills
· Ability to work independently as well as with the team.
· Snow plowing on call in the winter.
**Background checks required. Due to certain areas that we work, candidates cannot have a felony or DUI within the last 5 years. And cannot be a registered sex offender. **
The job is Monday through Friday start times vary. Possibility for additional hours.
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
