We're looking for a highly motivated, organized, and dependable Warehouse & Yard Manager to own every aspect of our warehouse, yard, fleet, equipment, inventory, and logistics operations.

Position Summary
The Warehouse & Yard Manager is responsible for the daily management of WTX's warehouse, yard, fleet, trailers, equipment, tools, inventory, material staging, and jobsite logistics.
This position ensures every crew leaves each morning with the correct tools, equipment, and materials to complete their work efficiently and safely.

Primary ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations
Own the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain an organized warehouse at all times.
- Organize inventory by category.
- Keep shelving labeled and accurate.
- Receive and verify deliveries.
- Store materials properly.
- Maintain a clean and professional facility.
- Eliminate clutter and unnecessary inventory.
Yard Management
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient yard.
Responsibilities include:
- Organize equipment storage.
- Stage materials for upcoming projects.
- Maintain loading areas.
- Keep trailers organized.
- Monitor waste disposal.
- Ensure materials are protected from weather.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
Inventory Management
Maintain accurate inventory levels.
Responsibilities:
- Perform weekly cycle counts.
- Track inventory in company systems.
- Monitor minimum stock levels.
- Order replenishment items.
- Reduce waste and shrinkage.
- Report damaged or missing inventory.
- Maintain inventory accuracy.
Fleet & Equipment Management
Ensure every vehicle and piece of equipment is ready for work.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect trucks and trailers.
- Schedule preventative maintenance.
- Perform basic mechanical repairs.
- Coordinate major repairs.
- Maintain maintenance records.
- Fuel equipment as needed.
- Ensure DOT and safety compliance.
Equipment may include:
- Skid steers
- Mini excavators
- Compact loaders
- Trenchers
- Dump trailers
- Utility trailers
- Trucks
- Small engines
- Power tools
- Landscape equipment
Tool Accountability
Own accountability for company tools.
Responsibilities:
- Check tools in and out.
- Assign tools to crews.
- Track missing tools.
- Maintain tool inventory.
- Replace damaged tools.
- Organize tool storage.
- Inspect tools regularly.
Material Logistics
Coordinate deliveries and pickups.
Responsibilities:
- Stage materials before crews arrive.
- Deliver materials to jobsites when needed.
- Pick up materials from suppliers.
- Verify delivery accuracy.
- Return unused materials.
- Coordinate with Project Managers.
Crew Support
Support field crews so they stay productive.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily job packets.
- Load trailers.
- Assist with equipment setup.
- Solve field logistics issues.
- Respond quickly to urgent requests.
- Keep downtime to an absolute minimum.
Safety
Maintain a safe warehouse and yard.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper lifting techniques.
- Secure trailer loads correctly.
- Use straps, chains, and binders safely.
- Operate forklifts and equipment safely.
- Maintain OSHA-compliant work areas.
- Conduct routine safety inspections.
Preventative Maintenance
Keep equipment operating at peak performance.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain maintenance schedules.
- Lubricate equipment.
- Change fluids and filters.
- Replace worn parts.
- Coordinate outside repairs.
- Document maintenance history.
Daily Expectations
Every day you should:
- Open the warehouse before crews arrive.
- Ensure every truck is loaded correctly.
- Verify equipment readiness.
- Respond to field requests with urgency.
- Keep inventory updated.
- Receive deliveries.
- Maintain organization.
- Prepare materials for the following day.
Required QualificationsExperience
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse, yard, logistics, fleet, or inventory management experience
- Experience supporting construction, landscaping, or industrial operations preferred

Physical Requirements
Must be able to:
- Lift and carry 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Bend, kneel, climb, squat, and reach
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Load and unload heavy materials
- Operate power tools safely
Driving Requirements
Must:
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Safely tow and back trailers of various sizes
- Load and secure equipment using proper tie-down procedures
- Understand weight distribution and trailer safety
- Operate trucks with trailers confidently in traffic and on jobsites
Mechanical Requirements
Preferred experience with:
- Small engine maintenance
- Hydraulic equipment
- Trailer maintenance
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Tire replacement
- Welding (preferred but not required)
- Greasing and preventative maintenance

Pay: $58,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
