Position Summary
The Field Trainer is a field-based leadership position responsible for developing newly hired and existing security guards through coaching, mentorship, and hands-on instruction. Field Trainers work directly under the supervision of the assigned Field Manager and serve as an extension of Operations by reinforcing company standards, conducting site visits, supporting new employee onboarding, and identifying opportunities to improve performance in the field.
Field Trainers are expected to lead by example, model professionalism, and continuously pursue advanced training to further their own leadership and operational development.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct field training and site orientation for newly hired security guards.
- Reinforce company policies, post orders, and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled site visits to evaluate performance.
- Mentor and coach security guards through hands-on instruction.
- Identify performance deficiencies and communicate recommendations to the Field Manager.
- Assist with employee retraining when performance concerns are identified.
- Support the implementation of new contracts and site transitions.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients while representing Sparky's Consulting & Tactics professionally.
- Ensure guards maintain professional appearance, report writing standards, and customer service expectations.
- Complete required field documentation, training reports, and operational observations.
- Assist the Field Manager with staffing needs, special projects, and operational initiatives as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of security experience, law enforcement, military or equivalent preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong report writing abilities.
- Ability to mentor and coach others.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Maintain all licenses required by state and local regulations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to respond quickly during emergency situations.
- Ability to safely perform all essential job functions while equipped with assigned duty gear.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
