Job Title: Cafeteria Server
Start Date: July 31, 2026
Employee Class: Classified Staff
Rate: $15.84 / hr
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:30 AM – 12:30PM.
· Summer & Holiday Breaks: The position will have breaks set according to the school academic calendar, which includes unpaid breaks including summer break, fall break, winter break, and spring break. There may be opportunities to perform work during a portion of these periods.

Job Summary
The Cafeteria Server is responsible for providing meals to students while complying with food safety and National School Lunch Program requirements.
Essential Functions
· Maintain a sanitary serving area.
· Ensure foods are properly temperature controlled
· Inspect food deliveries for freshness and for an accurate count
· Prepare & serve student meals according to the daily order list
· Ensure served meals follow the meal component guidelines for NSLP
· Maintain a daily list of students without a lunch
· Inspect food left on the sharing counter
· Discard necessary leftover food as required by the school food safety plan
Job Requirements
- Must currently have or be willing to obtain Food Handlers Card before start date.
- Must currently have or be willing to obtain Fingerprint Clearance Card before start date.
- Physical Requirements - Must be able to: carry weight, lift, move, transport, position, put up to 25 pounds within the serving area; Stand, move around for 95% of scheduled work time; Talk/hear to communicate with students; Identify proper meal components; Write and record information on a list; Use supplies required for cleaning and sanitizing of serving area.
