- Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks- With possibly extension
- Schedule: Nights shift- 12 hrs
- Guaranteed Hours per Week: 36 hours
Pay:
- Gross Weekly Pay (Traveler): $2,000/Week (Including the stipends)
- Pay Rate (Local): $55/hr
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week night shift assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience and be comfortable managing critically ill patients in a fast-paced ICU environment while floating between the ICU and Telemetry units as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill ICU patients.
- Perform detailed patient assessments and ongoing monitoring.
- Interpret cardiac rhythms (strip interpretation).
- Manage hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
- Administer and titrate IV medications and critical care drips.
- Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Communicate abnormal laboratory values and diagnostic findings promptly.
Requirements:
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) License (Illinois or Compact License if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Acute Care Critical Care/ICU experience
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
- CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) Certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
