Position Summary:
A Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) is responsible for the overall leadership and daily operations of a skilled nursing or long-term care facility. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality resident care while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The administrator oversees clinical and non-clinical departments, manages financial performance, ensures regulatory compliance, and fosters a safe, resident-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the nursing home or long-term care facility.
- Ensure compliance with CMS, state, federal, and local regulations.
- Lead, supervise, and support department managers and facility staff.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Manage facility budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels, recruitment, retention, and employee development.
- Monitor resident care quality, safety, and satisfaction.
- Coordinate with physicians, nursing leadership, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Prepare for and manage state surveys, inspections, and accreditation activities.
- Address resident and family concerns while promoting excellent customer service.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Active Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) License in the applicable state.
- Minimum 2–5 years of leadership or administrative experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), long-term care (LTC), or healthcare setting.
