- Support food handling and preparation tasks as directed by kitchen staff, including basic food prep and ingredient organization.
- Follow manual handling protocols when lifting heavy items such as large pots, trays, or bulk supplies to prevent injury.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and dining areas through regular cleaning routines to uphold health regulations.
- Adhere to food safety management practices by following proper sanitation procedures during dishwashing and food handling.
- Assist with catering or banquet setups by transporting supplies and ensuring the area remains tidy throughout service.
Skills
- Prior experience in restaurant or hospitality environments demonstrating food service or catering skills.
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while managing kitchen equipment or supplies.
- Strong knife skills for basic food prep tasks when needed.
- Experience with dishwashing machines and manual dishwashing techniques.
