- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Manage inventory levels through stock replenishment and accurate stock counts
- Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information or directing calls as needed
- Support the store’s sales goals by promoting featured products and engaging in suggestive selling techniques
Skills
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; familiarity with POS systems is a plus
- Strong communication skills to connect effectively with customers and team members
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases
- Experience in supervising or leading small teams is a valuable asset
- Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising, and stock management
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries courteously
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves and standing for extended periods
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining a friendly demeanor
