Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated part-time Female Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. This position involves providing personalized support to a female client in Pataskala, Ohio, with approximately 20–35 hours per week available.
The DSP will assist the individual with daily living activities, community participation, and personal goals while promoting independence, safety, dignity, and overall quality of life. The role includes providing support in the client’s home setting as well as during community outings and activities.
The ideal candidate should be dependable, caring, and committed to building a positive, trusting relationship with the individual they support. Your dedication and compassion will play an important role in enhancing the client’s daily experiences and helping them achieve their personal goals.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide personal care and support for individuals with varying needs.
- Monitor patient health and observing changes in behavior or condition.
- Administer medications as prescribed while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote independence and enhance their quality of life.
- Maintain clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Document client progress and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages client participation in their own care.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred.
- DSP work experience required.
- GED or equilvalent required.
- First Aid and CPR certification required.
- Background Check Required.
- Dviver's Licence Required
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
