Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, intake evaluations, and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to ensure accurate clinical documentation
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Provide specialized counseling for clients with co-occurring disorders, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, chronic pain, addiction issues, grief, gender identity concerns, and other mental health challenges
- Implement crisis management techniques and crisis intervention strategies to ensure client safety and stability during emergencies or acute episodes
- Utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions while adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines
- Maintain detailed clinical documentation according to medical records standards and ensure compliance with confidentiality protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, patient care planning, and research initiatives to enhance treatment outcomes
Skills
- Proven expertise in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, social work practices, and evidence-based interventions
- Strong skills in motivational interviewing and crisis intervention to motivate clients toward positive change and manage urgent situations effectively
- Experience working with children, adolescents, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and those in inpatient or outpatient settings
- Knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation; familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes
- Ability to conduct intake assessments and comprehensive case management utilizing medical terminology and clinical research insights
- Excellent communication skills for engaging clients from diverse backgrounds while adhering to clinical documentation standards
- Familiarity with telehealth technology platforms and remote service delivery best practices
