Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and organized Host/Hostess to join our hospitality team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a critical role in creating a welcoming and memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of restaurant or hospitality experience, learns quickly, works well under pressure, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and create a positive first impression upon arrival.
- Manage reservations, walk-ins, and seating arrangements efficiently.
- Maintain waitlists and accurately communicate wait times to guests.
- Answer phone calls professionally and assist with reservation inquiries.
- Coordinate with servers, managers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth guest flow and table turnover.
- Accommodate guest requests and special seating preferences whenever possible.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, menus, and guest-facing areas.
- Monitor dining room activity and assist with operational needs during busy service periods.
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism and composure.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or guest service role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a high-volume environment.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to changing situations and restaurant procedures.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and guest-focused mindset.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
