We are a commercial printer seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Prepress Technician to join our team. This is a full-time, in-office position for someone who has strong experience preparing files for print production and is comfortable working with professional graphic design software.
In addition to prepress responsibilities, this position will assist with building, maintaining, and organizing customer web portals using PageDNA. No previous PageDNA experience is required—we will provide training.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with technology, has excellent attention to detail, and can manage multiple projects while meeting production deadlines.
Responsibilities
Prepress & Print Production
- Prepare customer artwork and files for print production.
- Review files for technical issues, including sizing, bleeds, fonts, images, colors, and other print specifications.
- Make necessary adjustments to artwork to ensure files are production-ready.
- Work with customers and internal team members to resolve artwork issues.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency throughout the production process.
- Organize and maintain customer artwork and production files.
Web Portal Management
- Build and maintain customer web portals using PageDNA.
- Upload new artwork and products to customer portals.
- Remove outdated artwork and products.
- Keep portal content, product information, and artwork current.
- Help streamline and improve the customer ordering experience.
- Assist with organizing portal content so customers can easily find and order the products they need.
- Learn and apply PageDNA functionality through company-provided training.
Qualifications
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign is imperative.
- Experience with other professional graphic design software is a plus.
- Understanding of print production and prepress requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and find solutions.
- Comfortable learning new software and technology.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
- Previous PageDNA experience is not required; training will be provided.
