GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
OrthoConnecticut is currently looking for a Billing Associate responsible for Charge Entry. This position is primarily responsible for auditing and posting the Physician office charges thoroughly and accurately. This role will also process missing ticket audits on a monthly basis.
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (no weekends)

RESPONSIBILITIES / WORK REQUIREMENTS:
-
Auditing and posting daily charges for assigned Physicians
-
Add modifiers, correct DX, as necessary to charges
-
Review documentation and consult with coding to ensure proper coding when necessary

Review demographics to ensure charges are going to the correct insurance set

Ensure charges are entered no later than 48 hours from date received

Ensure all arrived appointments have a charge associated to it
- Utilize all available technology to process claims in an accurate and timely manner
- When charge tickets are all current, manager will assign a task Q to be worked on

Performs other related duties that may be inclusive, but not listed in the job description
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Minimum of 2 years experience in private practice required (3+ years highly desirable)

High school graduate or equivalent

CPC a plus, but not required

Organized, accountable, self-motivated, and attentive to detail

Knowledge of current procedural terminology, and ICD-9/10

Team player and patience are a MUST

High degree of composure and interpersonal skills

Devoted to teamwork and portraying the company in a very positive manner

Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work under pressure and accurately prioritize problems & initiatives
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with Athena
