Join our dynamic team IN EUGENE, OREGON as a Lost Luggage Delivery Driver, BASED IN EUGENE,OR, where you'll play a vital role in reuniting travelers with their belongings swiftly and securely. This energetic position involves delivering misplaced luggage from storage facilities at the airport directly to customers’ locations. You’ll be the friendly face representing our commitment to exceptional customer service, ensuring luggage is handled with care and delivered on time. - Knowledge of route driving, mapping and address locating
- Ability to drive at night delivering local and long distance (100+ miles)
- Must reside within 20 minutes of the Eugene airport.
- We deliver from Salem to Medford down the I-5 corridor as well as central coast , all the way to Port Orford. All points in between.PICK UP TIME FOR THIS POSITION IS 7:30 PM, MONDAY-FRIDAY. You must have a fuel effecient, roomy vehicle. Our business serves the major airlines and is 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
- You are a 1099 driver and RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN FUEL AND PROOF OF INSURANCE IS REQUIRED.
- We pay flat rate by zip code. EARNINGS ARE BASED ON BAGGAGE VOLUME at the airport. THIS WOULD BE DEFINED AS PART-TIME AND AVERAGES $1200-$1800 PER MONTH
- You must have a clean driving record as well as pass a criminal background check.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate your own vehicle to transport luggage efficiently.
- Load and unload luggage using manual handling techniques .
- Create delivery routes to ensure safe delivery.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs using mobile devices, documenting all pickups and drop-offs with attention to detail.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with agents and with passengers upon delivery.
- Ensure proper manual handling practices are followed during loading, unloading, and moving luggage to prevent damage or injury.
Requirements
- Proven experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or courier services with a focus on manual handling and heavy lifting of 50 pounds or more .
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; Your personal vehicles for delivery should be very reliable, fuel effecient, and large enough for a minimum of 10 large suitcases.
- Familiarity with various smart phone applications and adept in learning new navigation and delivery apps as well as communication apps.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via mobile devices and in person.
- Physical capability to lift heavy luggage regularly while following safe lifting procedures.
