Job Summary
We are seeking a professional, organized and energetic Catering and Event Coordinator and Manager to lead the selling, planning, and execution of a large, upscale of events. In this leadership role, the manager will be the primary point of contact for clients, creating their vision is through meticulous event planning, exceptional hospitality, and teamwork. You will oversee all aspects of event management, from initial consultation to post-event follow-up, while managing budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships. This hospitality position needs a candidate like to create and execute events through organization in tandem with loyal crew members
Duties
- Coordinate and manage all facets of catering and event planning guests require including setup, menu design, decor needs, maybe some entertainment, and logistics.
- Develop customized event proposals with our executive chef team that align with client needs.
- Negotiate contracts with clients and process accounts receivable with our office manager.
- Help create event marketing initiatives to promote services with our Chief Marketing Officer across various channels, attracting new clients and expanding brand visibility.
- Manage budgets efficiently by tracking expenses, controlling costs, and ensuring profitability for each event.
- Provide exceptional guest hospitality by addressing client inquiries promptly and ensuring smooth event execution from start to finish.
- Lead a team of loyal staff members during events, ensuring organizational efficiency and high standards of hospitality are maintained throughout.
Requirements
- Proven experience in event management, catering, or hospitality settings such as restaurants, hotels, or banquet facilities.
- Excellent communication skills for effective client interactions and team coordination.
- Demonstrated expertise in event planning, budgeting, and upselling techniques.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage large, high-end events under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of banquet operations, catering procedures, and restaurant or hotel service standards.
