Alvarez, Thompson & Smoak, P.A. is currently seeking dedicated, hard-working professionals for our Tampa office with litigation experience. Candidates must be licensed in Florida.
Responsibilities of Litigation Attorney:
- Litigate and negotiate on behalf of clients in civil cases
- Conduct legal research and analysis to build strong cases
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Collaborate with colleagues and experts to develop case strategies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files
Experience of Litigation Attorney:
- Active Florida Bar license in good standing
- Minimum 5 years of litigation experience in Florida
- Proven experience as a litigation attorney, preferably with Commercial Transportation litigation experience preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
