Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and take beverage and food orders with enthusiasm and accuracy
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer, following all safety and sanitation standards
- Process sales transactions efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness of bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, including garnishing drinks or preparing simple bar snacks
- Support guest relations by providing prompt, friendly service and addressing any special requests or concerns
Skills
- Proven experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a bar or restaurant setting with fine dining experience
- Strong knowledge of cocktail mixing, spirits, wine varieties, and beverage presentation techniques
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables and orders simultaneously in a lively environment
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and ensure guest satisfaction
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and sales transactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting
