Duties
- Monitor premises through CCTV surveillance and physical patrols to identify suspicious activity or security breaches
- Control access points using access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, and contractors
- Conduct thorough background checks on new personnel as part of the onboarding process
- Respond promptly to emergencies by following established procedures for fire safety, medical incidents, or security threats
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security issues or unusual occurrences with clarity and accuracy
- Perform first aid and CPR when necessary, operating AED devices to assist injured individuals
- Manage conflict situations using conflict management techniques and de-escalation strategies to maintain a safe environment
Skills
- Strong surveillance capabilities with experience in CCTV monitoring and physical security measures
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and familiarity with performing background checks
- Certified in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols
- Skilled in incident report writing with attention to detail and clarity
- Proficient in operating access control systems and security technology tools
- Ability to handle firearm handling (for armed officers) responsibly and safely in compliance with regulations
- Excellent customer service skills combined with conflict de-escalation and conflict management abilities
- Capable of heavy lifting and manual handling during patrols or emergency response activities
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures including fire drills, evacuation plans, and medical emergencies
- Experience in performing patrolling duties across large premises or restricted areas while maintaining vigilance
