Pay Range: $17.00-$28.00
The Manufacturing Data Clerk is responsible for accurate and timely data entry related to production and inventory within a manufacturing environment. This role works closely with production supervisors to ensure jobs are properly closed, parts produced are correctly recorded, and system data reflects actual shop floor activity. The position is critical to maintaining data integrity and supporting efficient operations.
Duties
Production Data Entry & Job Closure
· Accurately enter production data, including parts produced, scrap, and rework
· Review completed jobs with production supervisors and ensure proper job closure in the system
· Verify accuracy of job information prior to final posting
· Ensure all production transactions are entered and completed in a timely manner
Inventory Data Support
· Update inventory records based on production activity
· Assist in maintaining accurate inventory balances in the system
· Identify and report discrepancies between physical production and system records
· Support cycle counts and inventory audits as needed
Collaboration with Production Team
· Partner with production supervisors to confirm job completion details
· Communicate missing or incorrect information for resolution
· Ensure alignment between shop floor output and system reporting
Data Accuracy & Reporting
· Maintain a high level of accuracy in ERP/MRP system entries
· Run and review basic production and inventory reports
· Flag inconsistencies, errors, or unusual variances
Qualifications
Education & Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Prior manufacturing, data entry, or administrative experience preferred
Skills & Competencies
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· High-volume data entry experience
· Basic understanding of manufacturing or inventory processes
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Effective communication skills and ability to work with shop floor personnel
