Caidlake Diesel Repair is currently seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team.
Position Overview:
The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engine and equipment issues
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and equipment
- Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension components, and electrical systems
- Use diagnostic tools and service manuals to identify mechanical problems
- Ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Communicate with management regarding repair status and parts needs
- Assist with maintaining shop tools and equipment
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred (heavy-duty truck or equipment)
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals and schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)
