We are a small, intimate company seeking multiple technicians; we can train and are open to offering benefits provided quality workmanship, due dilligence, a good attitude, and there is opportunity for advancement. We are seeking a skilled Oversize & standard Tire Technician to inspect, repair, and service large off-road, agricultural, construction, industrial, and mining tires. This position focuses on tire repair, section repairs, and hot and cold vulcanization while ensuring every tire meets safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and able to handle large tires and heavy equipment in a fast-paced shop environment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect oversized tires for damage, wear, and repairability.
- Perform hot and cold vulcanization repairs on OTR, agricultural, and industrial tires.
- Complete section repairs, tread repairs, sidewall repairs, and puncture repairs.
- Mount, dismount, and service large tires using specialized tire equipment.
- Operate forklifts, tire handlers, cranes, and other shop equipment safely.
- Maintain accurate repair records and inspection reports.
- Ensure all repairs meet company and industry safety standards.
- Keep work areas clean and maintain shop equipment.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Qualifications
- Experience servicing OTR, agricultural, construction, or heavy equipment tires preferred.
- Experience with tire vulcanization and major tire repairs is an asset.
- Ability to safely lift and handle large tires using appropriate equipment.
- Familiarity with tire inspection procedures and repair standards.
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Forklift or heavy equipment experience is considered an asset.
Preferred Skills
- Hot and cold vulcanization techniques.
- Section and sidewall repair experience.
- Tire casing inspection and failure analysis.
- Safe operation of tire service equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments while maintaining high safety standards.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
