Position Title: Staffing Assistant (Part-Time, Seasonal)Location: Monmouth County / Middlesex County, NJSchedule: Approximately 4 hours daily (Evenings, Weekends & Holidays Required)
About the Role
This is a selective, seasonal position designed for someone who is dependable, organized, and comfortable owning a structured hiring process from start to finish.
As a Staffing Assistant, you will play a direct role in interviewing and onboarding candidates. This is not a passive role—you will be expected to follow a clear system, communicate consistently, and ensure candidates move efficiently through each stage.
This role is best suited for individuals with experience or familiarity in education, HR, administration, or similarly structured environments—including teachers, experienced stay-at-home parents managing complex schedules, or students pursuing HR or related fields.
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct structured candidate interviews using a provided script
- Maintain a professional, confident tone while following a defined process
- Follow up consistently with candidates to move them through hiring stages
- Assist candidates through onboarding and completion of requirements
- Track communication and maintain accurate, organized records
- Ensure timely progression from first contact through hiring
Requirements (Please Read Carefully)
- Proven reliability and ability to maintain a consistent schedule
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays (required)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow a script precisely while sounding natural and professional
- Comfortable initiating and maintaining follow-up with candidates
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently without frequent supervision
Preferred:
- Background in teaching, HR, recruiting, administrative support, or similar
- Experience with interviewing, scheduling, or onboarding
Schedule Expectations
- Approximately 4 hours per day
- Evenings, weekends, and holidays are required
- Some flexibility in scheduling is available, provided it aligns with required availability
- Consistency is critical—this role directly impacts hiring timelines
Compensation
- $19–$22 per hour, based on experience
